You Were Taught to Fear, But Did You Ever Love?
You were taught: Don’t do this, Allah will be angry.
Don’t say that, Allah will punish you.
So you feared Him.
But when a king is angry, what does he do?
A worldly king takes everything from you—your food, your home, your freedom.
He punishes. He destroys. He kills.
If Allah was the kind of king you think He is…
Where would you be?
Where would your food come from?
Who would give you water?
Who would keep you breathing?
If He was as angry as you were told, you wouldn’t exist.
But here you are—alive, fed, protected.
Even when you ignore Him, even when you sin.
Why?
Because He is not like the kings of this world.
He is Ar-Rahman (The Most Merciful).
He is Ar-Raheem (The Always Loving).
They taught you fear.
But did they teach you love?
You Never Asked… But He Gave Anyway
Think of your biggest mistake. Your worst sin. The thing that makes you think, Allah must hate me for this.
Now, look at your life.
You are still here.
You still eat.
You still breathe.
If He truly hated you, would you have anything?
He doesn’t need you. But He still gives you.
Even when you forget Him.
Have you ever called on Him—truly, from your heart?
Not empty words.
Not scripted duas.
But real, desperate, broken prayers.
Because when you call on Him like that… He answers.
The Prophets Knew Allah—Do You?
When Musa (AS) stood in front of the Red Sea, he had nothing—no army, no weapons, no escape.
Pharaoh’s army was behind him. The ocean was in front of him.
But did he say, Maybe Allah will help?
No.
He said: “My Lord is with me, and He will guide me.”
Allah split the sea for him.
He saved Ibrahim (AS) from fire.
He saved Yusuf (AS) from prison.
He saved Yunus (AS) from the belly of a whale.
He raised Isa (AS) to the heavens.
And you think He won’t save you?
But do you believe in Him the way they did?
Or do you only see Him as a distant ruler, waiting to punish you?
You were told wrong. Allah is not watching you just to punish. He is not waiting for you to fail.He is not against you. He is the One who always brings you back. He is the One who never stops giving. He is the One who loves you, even when you don’t love yourself.
What If You’ve Been Seeing Allah Wrong?
You fear Allah’s anger.
But did you ever think about His love?
Allah said, “Call on Me, and I will answer you.”
But when did you last call Him from your heart?
Musa called, and the sea split.
Ibrahim called, and the fire turned cold.
Yusuf called, and the prison doors opened.
Yunus called, and the whale released him.
What are you waiting for?
Allah does not move away—you do.
He does not stop giving—you stop asking.
He does not abandon—you forget.
But the moment you return, He is there.
So Who is Allah?
The King of Kings—but no minister, no army, no help.
The Creator of the Universe—but does not need His creation.
The Master of All Things—but still listens to the broken hearts of His servants.
The Most Powerful—but His greatest names are of mercy, love, and forgiveness.
They told you Allah is angry.
They forgot to tell you…
He is love.
He is mercy.
He is near.
And when you finally see who He truly is—
Your whole world will change.
